00:00:00: Today is a very simple reminder for all of us to relax.

00:00:07: Iteration number 59 of the Love, Love, and Podcast Iterations on Becoming Human, it's

00:00:14: really easy to get caught up in the tension of a project that is coming up of a deadline

00:00:25: approaching of a dispute that we're having with another person that we forget to relax.

00:00:34: And I know this is a bit of a sentence because first thought could be like, "Oh man, how

00:00:43: could I relax when I'm tense up and stressed?"

00:00:48: Of course you cannot when you're in the moment.

00:00:50: So this is why it's a reminder today when you're good when there's nothing special

00:00:57: happening, let's say like that, when you're not in an agitated space.

00:01:02: It really is sufficient to have that neutral space of nothing special is happening.

00:01:10: Nothing special is just agitating our landscape of emotions to remember to consciously relax,

00:01:20: to relax our muscles, to breathe.

00:01:24: Not because we would need it, but it is a practice and it is also forming a habit and

00:01:34: enforcing or helping to build these neural pathways in our brain that will later on be

00:01:42: very beneficial for us when there is the moment of tension to relax.

00:01:48: So how can you remember to relax when you're in a situation of fight, of contraversion,

00:01:56: of discussion, when you're in a hurry because you got up too late?

00:02:03: And your partner has a different opinion than you when it is really important to you that

00:02:09: they understand you.

00:02:12: It's by remembering and by inserting a pause and the capacity to be able to insert that

00:02:17: pause and to remember we do not build it in the moment itself when it's challenging,

00:02:23: but in the moments in between in that neutral spaces.

00:02:28: And also you can experiment with it because there are other states of mind where we do

00:02:38: not want to relax.

00:02:41: Sometimes it's weird, so joyous and so excited because there's something happening when we're,

00:02:48: it's like being on a roller coaster sometimes or just queuing up for it is so exciting,

00:02:58: at least for me because you just anticipate what is to come and there's a little bit of

00:03:03: anxiousness but it feels good so we do not want to relax.

00:03:09: It's part of it, it's part of the experience or when we're really excited because we

00:03:15: have accomplished something that was not on our mind before that we were doubting at first.

00:03:23: We do not want to leave it. We usually tend to grasp on it very tightly.

00:03:28: Now, can we celebrate and relax at the same time?

00:03:33: That's a question. Can you relax yourself in the celebration? Can you relax

00:03:45: yourself in the moments of agony too?

00:03:47: And that is the question that will not be answered in the moments themselves because,

00:03:56: again, it's hard when we're already in this very active state of mind. That's why

00:04:04: we need to remember if we want to, in these moments where nothing special is happening.

00:04:13: Okay, I'm good here. It will serve us later on.

00:04:19: And even if it's now, right now, listening to the podcast, like, is there any tension you can

00:04:26: let go that you have unconsciously? Can you drop your shoulders a little bit?

00:04:31: Can you breathe a little bit more by relaxing your belly? Like, not breathing more, but

00:04:41: more deeply, not by forcing it, but letting it happen just because you just have put your awareness on it.

00:04:49: It's really that simple. We do not have to

00:04:54: to stay in that abstract. And I know that I introduce a lot of concepts in this podcast,

00:05:01: in these iterations too, but I see it like that. It is all, every word is an empty vessel.

00:05:11: Every word that you listen to, that you read, everything that you consumed

00:05:17: is an empty vessel if you do not fill it with your life, with your situations, with your

00:05:26: whatever comes up for you. That is where the magic starts. That is where you choose.

00:05:36: Either you be a consumer, torn between that tension of "I want that, I don't want that,"

00:05:46: the tension of emotions too, or you become a producer.

00:05:55: Someone who can take in what they see, hear, learn, feel, and create something in their life

00:06:08: with impact, infused with their essence. And it all starts with relaxation.

00:06:20: So here's a reminder to us, for me and for you, to love a little louder.

00:06:27: Lots of love, Shang.
